Juli Gabor(DK/HU) som ledde 4 spännande och svettiga onsdagar under hösten kommer nu tillbaka med ytterligare 4 workshops under januari och februari.
Du skriver upp dig på att vara med fyra onsdagkvällar i följd, det kostar 500 kr och du får utmana dig i teknik och mycket dans.

The classes are opened for everyone who are interested in exploring and researching the dimensions of their bodies and movement. The classes are teached in English.

11, 18, 25 jan, 1 Feb.: Ungdomens hus (MAF), Norra Skolgatan 55, Festsalen, en trappa upp.

All dance classes are scheduled 18-21 pm

Class 1. : Basic skills of Contact Improvisation – ”Reach for the floor”
We will start with a jucy warmup with focus on floorwork and space awareness. Then we will learn some movement patterns to strengthen the ability of moving in and out of the floor. Then we will go on with some basic CI exercises with partner, focusing on landing by reaching with the limbs. Then we will end with some jamming to practice the new skills.

Class 2. : Basic skills of Contact Improvisation – ”Handstand and disorientation”
Warming up the body especially the spine and the wrists, practicing lifting the center. After this we will practice a handstand with low legs in a trio, then a normal handstand with rolling over to the legs – this way we get used to shifting between normal and upside-down position. Later combining this with a spiral on the way we get the experience of even more disorientation. More play with handstand and upside-down in the trio, changing trios, ending in free play in movement in a trio with disorientation. Jamming with ”round-robin” to practice the new skills.

Class 3: Basic skills of Contact Improvisation – ”Bodywork, floor-work and spirals”
We will start the class with bodywork – arriving into the body, sharpening the senses and releasing unnecessary tension. After the switching rolls this leads into an easy warm-up dance. Continue with different kinds of rolling on the floor also with a partner. ”Surfing” on each other with having the focus on releasing tension in the body and spirals on the way. Sterting the jam with closed eyes work.

Class 4.: Basic skills of Contact Improvisation – ”Fly and land”
The class will build on the earlier classes, and will strat with repetition of the skills as a warm-up. After the warm-up we will focus on elevating the center and with that the body, still having focus on safe landing. We will work with more acrobatic lifts in smaller groups of different levels – so that more advanced and beginners can benefit from the class. We will finish with a ”flying jam”.

The classes building on each other, so it is a very good idea to sign up and participate on all four classes.
The program can change according to the level of the group, the number of the participants or according to the present situation on the class.

Arrangemanget görs i samarbete med Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan.

Barnens scen är stängt under januari. Vi får tillträde i februari. Håll ut!

Årets julejam tar plats på Gustav Adolfs torg – lördagen den 17:e december.
Vi samlas i Raoul Wallenbergs park kl. 14.
Medtag gärna instrument eller annan ljudinspiration.

Vi dansar som vanligt söndagen den 6:e november, men lokalen är ändrad till Norra Skolgatan 10 b. MAFs lokaler, nära Triangeln.

Ta med dig vänner som gärna vill veta vad kontaktimprovisation kan vara. Ikväll – särskilt för dig som aldrig tidigare har dansat.

Du skriver upp dig på att vara med fyra onsdagkvällar i följd och din höstkropp får fina tillfällen att värma sig hitta fler redskap till dansen.  Anmälan & mer info.
